Taxon description
Senn 2015:
Rozpoznawanie i obserwowanie: Wyraźny dymorfizm płciowy. Samiec jest niebieski, samica brunatna. Na tylnych skrzydłach znajdują się krótkie ogonki, które odróżniają argiadesa od innych modraszków. Przy ogonkach są 1-3 pomarańczowe plamki.
Rozwój motyla: Samica składa jaja pojedynczo między pąki kwiatowe. Gąsienice żerują na kwiatach, zarówno w dzień, jak i o zmierzchu. Mogą im towarzyszyć mrówki. Gąsienice drugiego pokolenia, po przezimowaniu, nie pobierają już pokarmu, lecz przystępują od razu do przepoczwarczenia się.
Okres lotu motyla: Co najmniej dwa pokolenia, od 1/V do 3/IX.
Siedliska: Zarośla, suche i umiarkowanie wilgotne łąki, tereny ruderalne.
