Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek górski, rozmieszczony w Alpach Wschodnich, Sudetach, Karpatach oraz w północnej części Gór Dynarskich. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w czterech krainach, przy tym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat i dlatego wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Występuje wśród mchów na starych drzewach w strefie lasów regla dolnego i górnego.
