Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Obszar rozsiedlenia gatunku obejmuje Europę Południową oraz południową część Europy Środkowej. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadki, notowany tylko z pojedynczych stanowisk w pięciu krainach, przy czym większość danych o występowaniu opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat, toteż wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Według S. Smreczyńskiego (1960) dwa okazy dowodowe z Ojcowa (Tenenbaum 1923) były błędnie oznaczone jako A. (Ch.) virens Herbst. Zasiedla łąki i zarośla. Jako rośliny żywicielskie podawane są groszek żółty — Lathyrus pratensis L. i groszek pannoński — L. pannonicus (Kram.) Garcke. Larwy odbywają rozwój w nabrzmiałych pąkach liściowych.
