Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1974:

Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej i zachodniej Europie oraz południowej części Europy Środkowej, znany również z północnej Afryki i zachodniej Azji. W Polsce. Zamieszkuje jedynie Sudety, gdzie jednak bardzo rzadko spotykany. Z okolic Przemyśla omyłkowo wykazany przez T. Trellę (1926) na podstawie błędnego oznaczenia (J. Makólski*); odnośne okazy dowodowe należą do Cymindis (Cymindis) cingulata Dej. Znajdowany głównie pod kamieniami na murawach kserotermicznych, pokrywających zwłaszcza gleby wapienne.
