Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1973:
Podgatunek nominatywny znany z prawie całej Europy z wyjątkiem jej południowych i północnych krańców W całym obszarze Alp zastępuje go drugi pod-gatunek Dyschirius (Dyschirius) angustatus uliginosus Putz. Zasiedla piaszczyste lub gliniasto-piaszczyste, nie zarośnięte pobrzeża wód, znajdowany niekiedy na glebach suchszych, odleglejszych od wody.
