Taxon description

Prószyński et Staręga 1971:

Gatunek o niedostatecznie zbadanym rozmieszczeniu: pewne stanowiska znane poza Polską tylko z Francji. Być może – chociaż nie jest to pewne – starszą nazwą dla omawianego gatunku jest Theridion marmoratum Hentz, 1850; zasięg obejmowałby wówczas cale Stany Zjednoczone i południową Kanadę (Levi 1957).
Według Wiehlego (1937) gatunek ten żyje w okolicach bagnistych.
