Taxon description
[KFP 3281: Epuraea depressa] Szeroko rozsiedlony gatunek europejsko-syberyjski, zasiedlający obszar od zachodnich wybrzeży Europy przez Syberię aż do Alaski, północna granica rozmieszczenia przebiega poza kołem podbiegunowym. W Polsce jest jednym z najpospolitszych gatunków omawianego rodzaju. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w gniazdach trzmieli; postacie dojrzałe znajdowano zimą w chodnikach kreta, chomika i świstaka, a wiosną wśród szczątków roślinnych i na kwiatach dzikiego bzu czarnego — Sambucus nigra L. i bzu koralowego — S. racemosa L., derenia właściwego — Cornus mas L.
