Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski, znany z północnej, środkowej i zachodniej Europy, notowany również z Syberii, a w Fennoskandii docierający do najdalszych krańców północnych. W Polsce rzadko spotykany, notowany tylko z pięciu krain. Poławiany od maja do listopada, na świeżo ściętych drzewach iglastych, zwłaszcza świerkach, w chodnikach korników. Poławiany też pod korą innych drzew iglastych i liściastych, niekiedy również na grzybach nadrzewnych.
