Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986c:

Gatunek rozmieszczony od Anglii i południowych części Fennoskandii przez całą, środkową część Europy aż do południowo-zachodniej Francji, północnych Włoch, Słowenii i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk, zarówno na terenach nizinnych, jak i górskich. Występuje w lasach iglastych, gdzie zwykle postacie dojrzałe są poławiane na gałęziach świerka lub sosny. Pozwija się najczęściej w starych, opadłych na ziemię szyszkach świerka. W Polsce stwierdzono występowanie larw również w szyszkach modrzewia europejskiego (Skrzypczyńska 1978).
