Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986c:

Gatunek rozsiedlony w całej środkowej części Europy, docierający na północ do Belgii, Holandii, Danii oraz południowych prowincji w Szwecji i Finlandii, na południe zaś do północno-wschodniej Hiszpanii, północnych Włoch i Dalmacji; notowany ponadto z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk, głównie z terenów nizinnych i pagórkowatych; ogólnikowe wzmianki o występowaniu w Tatrach winny być potwierdzone udokumentowanymi danymi. Larwy żerują w rdzeniu cienkich gałązek sosen, uprzednio osłabionych żerowaniem larw korników. Postacie dojrzałe są poławiane od maja do lipca w pobliżu miejsc lęgowych.
