Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony prawie w całej Europie (nie znany ze Skandynawii). W Polsce notowany z nielicznych miejscowości w poszczególnych krainach, przy tym wiele danych o rozmieszczeniu w różnych okolicach opiera się na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Zamieszkuje zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste, gdzie dociera do wysokości około 1700 m n.p.m. Zasiedla małe potoki, stawy, małe zbiorniki leśne, mokradła i łąki bagniste. Larwy żyją w wodach o dużej zawartości wapnia. Postacie dorosłe występują w czerwcu i lipcu wśród wilgotnych mchów i na nadbrzeżnej niskiej roślinności.
