Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 2000:

Gatunek mało znany, gdyż do niedawna uznawany jako odmiana Euplectus punctatus Muls. Opisany z południowej Francji, notowany z Włoch, Grecji, Austrii, Moraw oraz ogólnikowo ze Śląska. Biologia i wymagania ekologiczne nie są poznane. Poławiany w lasach iglastych pod obluźnioną korą sosny — Pinus L. Do czasu uzyskania konkretnego potwierdzenia występowania w kraju, nie zaliczamy go do fauny Polski.
