Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Gatunek występujący w Europie środkowej i południowej, wykazywany ponadto z Kaukazu i Dagestanu. W Polsce znany jedynie z pięciu krain, dane te jednak wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Według A. Horiona (1955) wzmianki o zasiedleniu Pomorza i byłych Prus Wschodnich były oparte prawdopodobnie na okazach zawleczonych na te tereny. Z uwagi na wymagania środowiskowe stanowisko na Śnieżniku Kłodzkim jest wątpliwe. Gatunek związany ze starymi dębami; larwy żerują w łyku pni, konarów i grubszych gałęzi. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się pod koniec lipca i w sierpniu. Poławiane są najczęściej na okorowanych pniach złamanych lub obumierających drzew.
