Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem niemal całą Europę (w Fennoskandii znany tylko z południowych prowincji), notowany też z Algierii i Syrii. W Polsce znany głównie z południowej części kraju. Występuje na polach, łąkach, przydrożach, trawiastych zboczach, w widnych lasach i zaroślach. Larwa żeruje i odbywa rozwój w strączkach wyki drobnokwiatowej — Vicia hirsuta (L.) S. F. Gray, nie powodując ich zniekształceń. Postacie dojrzałe znajdowano poza tym na innych wykach, jak na przykład wyce ptasiej — Vicia cracca L., wyce siewnej — V. sativa L. i wyce płotowej — V. sepium L.
