Taxon description
Gatunek palearktyczny, w całej Europie pospolity, docierający do skrajnych obszarów północnych. Występuje w Polsce od Bałtyku aż po Tatry, nie znany jeszcze tylko z Podlasia i Kotliny Nowotarskiej. Żyje na różnych gatunkach wyk: na wyce ptasiej — Vicia cracca L., wyce drobnokwiatowej — V. hirsuta (L.) S. F. Gray, wyce leśnej — V. silvatica L., wyce jednokwiatowej — V. monanthos (L.) Desf., wyce kosmatej — V. villosa Roth. Według L. Dieckmanna (1977) larwy żerują w kwiatach, wyżerając słupki i pręciki, dawne wzmianki o rozwoju larw w strączkach są przez tego autora odrzucone.
