Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący w południowej i środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii, notowany też z północno-zachodniej Afryki. W Polsce chrząszcz mało znany, notowany z nielicznych, przeważnie pojedynczych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Łowiony od maja do lipca na roślinach z rodziny motylkowatych — Papilionaceae, najczęściej na janowcu barwierskim — Genista tinctoria L. i żarnowcu miotlastym — Sarothamnus scoparius (L.) Wimm.
