Taxon description
Gatunek zasiedlający środkową i północną część Europy, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce chrząszcz pospolity, występujący na całym obszarze, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych o jego występowaniu w wielu krainach. Spotykany od wiosny do jesieni, najczęściej na jarzębinie, czeremsze i leszczynie.
