Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w prawie całej Europie, docierający w Skandynawii do koła podbiegunowego. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, aczkolwiek nie jest jeszcze notowany z Pojezierza Pomorskiego i Wzgórz Trzebnickich, a dane o jego rozmieszczeniu na Nizinie Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej, Podlasiu, Górnym Śląsku, w Sudetach Zachodnich i Wschodnich, Kotlinie Nowotarskiej i Tatrach opierają się na informacjach z ubiegłego stulecia. Zasiedla wilgotne i bagniste łąki, stawy, brzegi wód i rowy. Jako rośliny żywicielskie wymieniane są w piśmiennictwie różne gatunki przetaczników — Veronica L. Larwa żeruje w torebkach nasiennych powodując na nich małe nabrzmienia; żywi się niedojrzałymi nasionami.
