Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w południowej i środkowej Europie, na północ sięgający do Wysp Brytyjskich i południowej części Skandynawii, notowany nadto z północnej Afryki, Azorów, Azji Mniejszej i Kaukazu. W Polsce szeroko rozmieszczony, choć stosunkowo rzadko i sporadycznie poławiany. Występuje przeważnie w lasach liściastych na niżu i w niższych położeniach górskich, w ściółce, pod wilgotnymi i przegrzybiałymi liśćmi oraz korą na pniach i pieńkach.
