Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej i środkowej części Europy, wykazywany poza tym z Azji Mniejszej, Azji Środkowej, Syberii i Algierii. W Polsce rozprzestrzeniony od Bałtyku aż po Tatry, nie notowany tylko z Podlasia, Wzgórz Trzebnickich i Kotliny Nowotarskiej. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i górzyste aż po regiel górny. Występuje na suchych łąkach, przydrożach, w widnych lasach i zaroślach. Żyje na cieciorce pstrej — Coronilla varia L. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od połowy kwietnia do października. Larwy żerują w kwiatach, wyżerając słupki i pręciki, przed przepoczwarczeniem wytwarzają kokon.
