Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1983:

Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony w środkowej części Europy, notowany również z Wysp Brytyjskich, dwu południowych prowincji Szwecji, Syberii południowej i Ukraińskiej SRR. Wszędzie rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. W Polsce rozsiedlenie słabo zbadane; chrząszcz znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk, przy tym wszystkie dane o rozmieszczeniu oparte są na znaleziskach sprzed kilkudziesięciu, a nawet przeszło stu lat. Występuje na ilastych i piaszczystych pobrzeżach wód płynących.
