Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Górski gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w zachodniej Europie oraz w zachodniej części środkowej Europy, notowany również z nielicznych stanowisk w Austrii. Z Polski dotychczas brak udokumentowanych danych o występowaniu. Pierwsze wzmianki o występowaniu na Śląsku Dolnym i w Sudetach podał K. Letzner (1871), następnie ten sam autor i inni wiadomości te bezkrytycznie powtarzali. Według R. Scholza (1935f) i A. Horiona (1949) omawiany gatunek na tych obszarach nie występuje. Również wobec braku okazów dowodowych wzmianka L. Fr. Hildta o stanowisku w Beskidach Zachodnich budzi wątpliwości, choć nie można wykluczyć jej prawdziwości. Gatunek znajdowany w potokach płynących w parowach oraz w zacienionych, leśnych strumieniach, dociera do strefy alpejskiej.
