Burakowski et al. 1976:

Obszar rozprzestrzenienia tego gatunku obejmuje północną, wschodnią i środkową Europę, na zachód sięga po północną Francję i Szwajcarię. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany. Łowiony głównie na obszarach niżowych w różnych zbiornikach torfowiskowych.
