Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1976:

Szeroko rozpowszechniony i dość pospolity gatunek w północnej części Holarktyki. Zasięg jego obejmuje z wyjątkiem części południowych, prawie całą Europę, Syberię i Amerykę Północną. Występuje głównie w zbiornikach i torfowiskach, często spotykany w bagienkach i torfiankach sfagnowych, w zimie niekiedy pod płatami wątrobowców na miejscach wyschniętych.
