Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1976:

Gatunek halofilny, rozmieszczony w południowej i środkowej Europie oraz południowej części Skandynawii, notowany nadto z północnej Afryki, Zakaukazia, ze stepów zachodniej Syberii i środkowej Azji po Zabajkale. W Polsce pewne stanowiska leżą w pobliżu Bałtyku. Gatunek jakoby znaleziony był koło Wrocławia przed przeszło 100 laty przez M. Uechtritza (Letzner 1871, 1885). Dane ze Śląska Dolnego niepewne (Schwarz 1870b, Gerhardt 1891e), również niepewne z Wyżyny Lubelskiej (Galewski 1971). Żyje w wodach słonawych mających połączenia z morzem łub w zalewanych przez wodę morską, spotykany również na słonawiskach śródlądowych.
