Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie środkową Europę, wykazywany ponadto z Wysp Brytyjskich i południowej części Fennoskandii. W Polsce spotykany sporadycznie i dość rzadko jedynie na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych. Występuje przeważnie na terenach piaszczystych pod ekskrementami i padliną różnych zwierząt, niekiedy spotykany w norach królików.
