Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski o zwartym obszarze rozsiedlenia w Fennoskandii, notowany ponadto z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w północnoeuropejskiej części Rosji oraz na Syberii aż po Lenę; daleko na południu leży oderwany od głównego zasięgu, izolowany obszar w polskich Sudetach Zachodnich. W Polsce notowany ogólnikowo z Karkonoszy oraz z dwu stanowisk w woj. jeleniogórskim. Prawidłowość oznaczeń potwierdził S. Smreczyński (1950). Żyje na wierzbach — Salix L.: wierzbie żyłkowanej — S. reticulata L., wierzbie lapońskiej — S. lapponum L., wierzbie uszatej — S. aurita L. i wierzbie szarej — S. cinerea L. Ryjkowiec ten jest w Sudetach arktycznym reliktem glaciału plejstoceńskiego. Okazy z Janowic Wielkich prawdopodobnie były zniesione wodami Bobru z wyższych partii górskich. W Sudetach nie znajdowany od 80 lat. Należy przypuszczać, że występuje na zimnych i wilgotnych miejscach, na torfowiskach w piętrze kosodrzewiny i hal, gdzie rosną wierzby żyłkowane i lapońskie (B. Burakowski*).
