Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Kaukaz.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na grubych gałęziach oraz na pniu dębów — Quercus sessilis Ehrh. i Quercus robur L. Występuje zwykle w ogromnych koloniach i jest zawsze odwiedzany przez mrówki.
