Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w całej zachodniej Palearktyce.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na cienkich gałązkach a nawet szypułkach żołędzi i liści dębu bezszypułkowego — Quercus sessilis Ehrh. i dębu szypułkowego — Quercus robur L., a także na kasztanie jadalnym. Kolonie tej mszycy odwiedzane są zawsze przez mrówki. W piśmiennictwie z zakresu ochrony roślin czyni się ten gatunek odpowiedzialnym za szerzenie się zrakowacenia dębów, co wymaga jednak jeszcze potwierdzenia.
