Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony w południowej i środkowej części Europy, na północ sięgający po Danię, południową Szwecję i Petersburg. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w sześciu krainach. Larwy odbywają rozwój w młodych pędach dębu. Owady dojrzałe pojawiają się w kwietniu i poławiano je do lipca, głównie na dębach, rzadziej na śliwie tarninie, głogu i jarzębinie.
