Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, Wyspy Brytyjskie, Danię i południową Szwecję; wykazywany nadto z Kaukazu. W Polsce rozpucz ten jest notowany głównie z południowej części kraju, ale nie jest jeszcze znany z Sudetów Wschodnich, Pienin, Bieszczadów i Tatr. Występuje w lasach, zaroślach, ogrodach, na łąkach i pobrzeżach dróg. Jako rośliny żywicielskie są podawane w piśmiennictwie: trybula leśna — Anthriscus silvestris (L.) Hoffm., trybula pospolita — A. vulgaris Pers., świerząbek gajowy — Chaerophyllum temulum L. i marchew zwyczajna — Daucus carota L. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się na roślinach w kwietniu i są poławiane do jesieni; żerują na liściach i pędach. Samice składają jaja od kwietnia do września. Larwy żerują na korzeniach. Larwy starsze, pochodzące z jaj złożonych wiosną, przepoczwarczają się w lipcu-wrześniu, natomiast larwy młodsze, wywodzące się z jaj złożonych w lecie, zimują i przeobrażają się w maju-czerwcu następnego roku.
