Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1991:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej części Palearktyki sięgając po Afrykę Północną, Azję Mniejszą i Środkową oraz do środkowej Syberii. W Polsce występuje na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich, nie jest jednak jeszcze znany z niektórych krain. Żyje na głogach; postacie dojrzałe żerują na kwiatach, larwy zaś odbywają rozwój w zalążniach.
