Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od południowej części północnej Europy przez środkową część kontynentu aż do Francji, północnych Włoch i Siedmiogrodu, notowany również z zachodniej Syberii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk, przy tym według A. Horiona (1967) dane z okolic Pucka są niewiarygodne. Występuje na niżu i w niższych położeniach górskich. Poławiany w hubach na drzewach liściastych (głównie topolach, wierzbach i wiązach), przeważnie stojących pojedynczo w parkach, ogrodach i dolinach rzecznych, rzadziej w głębi lasu.
