Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek zasiedlający pobrzeża Morza Północnego, Bałtyckiego, Śródziemnego i Kaspijskiego, zasolonych jezior (Balaton, Balia Alba, Issyk-Kuł) oraz części dorzecza Syr-Darii. W Polsce znany tylko z Zatoki Puckiej (Bałtyk!), zachodnich wybrzeży Bałtyku i okolic Gdańska. Żeruje pod woda na liściach grześli morskiej — Ruppia maritima L., zostery drobnej — Zostera nana Roth, wywłócznika kłosowego — Myriophyllum spicatum L. i gatunków z rodzaju zamętnica — Zannichellia L.
