Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Bliski Wschód i Azja Środkowa; podawany także z Ameryki Północnej i wschodniej Azji, lecz dane te odnoszą się do innego gatunku.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na gałęziach lub korzeniach różnych róż, u nas na Rosa canina L. i Rosa rubiginosa L., a wyjątkowo także na korzeniach roślin zielnych — Potentilla argentea L. Kolonie tej mszycy odwiedzane są przez mrówki.
