Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1985:

Gatunek o areale ograniczonym do obszarów górzystych w środkowej części Europy oraz we Francji, Szwajcarii, Włoszech, Jugosławii i Rumunii. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany tylko z Sudetów, przy czym dane o rozmieszczeniu oparte są na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje lokalnie, głównie na przedgórzach i w dolinach górskich, wzdłuż których dociera wysoko ponad górną granicę lasu. Łowiony w czerwcu i lipcu na trawach i kwitnących roślinach zielnych.
