Burakowski et al. 1979:

Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w całej Europie, na wschód sięgający do Syberii i Japonii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk zarówno na terenach nizinnych jak i górskich. Spotykany w gnijących grzybach i butwiejących hubach, przy wyciekającym soku z drzew i pod odstającą korą.
