Taxon description
Areał tego gatunku obejmuje zachodnią, południową i środkową Europę, ku północy sięgając do Wysp Brytyjskich oraz południowych części Szwecji i Finlandii, notowany ponadto z Kaukazu. W środkowej Europie jest gatunkiem rzadko spotykanym, u nas wykazany dotychczas tylko z czterech krain w zachodniej części kraju. Żyje na roślinach wargowych, przeważnie należących do rodzaju ożanka — Teucrium L. Jako roślinę żywicielską, w której rozwijają się larwy, podawano ożankę nierównoząbkową — T. scorodonia L.
