Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w Podobszarze Śródziemnomorskim, na północ docierający do Austrii i Podola, notowany też z Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej, Turkiestanu i Iranu. W Polsce nie występuje. Ogólnikowo wykazywany ze Śląska prawdopodobnie na podstawie jedynej wzmianki, sprzed przeszło 140 lat, o występowaniu w Raciborzu; wiadomość tą niektórzy autorzy bezkrytycznie powtarzali, chociaż już K. Letzner (1871) wątpił o zasiedleniu Śląska przez M. (C.) tuccius Rossi, a J. Gerhardt (1910) nie zaliczył tego gatunku do chrząszczy śląskich. Bionomia i wymagania ekologiczne nie są znane.
