Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący północną i środkową część Europy oraz lokalnie górzyste obszary Europy Południowej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozmieszczonych głównie w zachodniej i południowej części kraju. Chrząszcz biologicznie związany ze świerkami; znajdowany w spróchniałych pniach, pod odstającą korą przy podstawie pni, w wiązkach chrustu, wśród mchów i w ściółce pod świerkami.
