Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej części Europy, sięgający na północ po Danię, południową Finlandię i Karelię. W Polsce, chociaż nie notowany jeszcze z siedmiu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich. Zasiedla głównie suche i nasłonecznione miejsca na łąkach, zboczach, pobrzeżach lasu i w zaroślach. Żyje na złocieniu właściwym — Chrysanthemum leucanthemum L. Samica w maju-czerwcu składa jaja na dno koszyczka kwiatowego. Larwa żywi się miękiszem na dnie koszyczka kwiatowego, a przepoczwarcza się w glebie, w kulistych otoczkach utworzonych z cząstek ziemi.
