Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1987:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie, na wschód przez Syberię docierający do Mongolii, Mandżurii i Japonii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Larwy żerują w biało przegrzybionym drewnie dębu, grabu, olchy i leszczyny. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano w czerwcu i lipcu na kwiatach gatunków roślin należących do rodzajów; przytulią — Galium L., głóg — Crataegus L., tawuła — Spiraea L., dziki bez — Sambucus L. oraz kwiatach roślin z rodziny baldaszkowatych (Umbelliferae).
