Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w niemal całej Europie, w Fennoskandii przekraczający koło podbiegunowe, a w południowej części kontynentu występujący głównie w górach. W Polsce, choć nie jest jeszcze znany ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze. Poławiano go na owocnikach grzybów nadrzewnych, rzadziej naziemnych. Z grzybów należących do klasy workowców (Ascomycetes) znajdowano go na Daldinia concentrica (Bolt.) Ces. et be Not. i Ustulina maxima (Hall), a do klasy podstawczaków (Basidiomycetes) na lakownicy spłaszczonej — Ganoderma applanatum (Pers. ex Wallr.) Pat., boczniaku ostrygowatym — Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq. ex Fr.) i łuskowcu jelenim — Pluteus cervinus (Schaeff. ex Secr.) Fr.
