Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem zachodnią część Afryki Północnej, południową i środkową część Europy, docierający na wschód do Syberii, Kaukazu, Turkmenii i Kazachstanu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Bionomia i cykl rozwojowy tego ryjkowca nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano na wilgotnych żwirowiskach i piaszczystych pobrzeżach rzek i potoków, gdzie obserwowano żerowanie na młodych liściach rdestów — Polygonum L.
