Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu ogólnym; notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w Austrii, Słowacji, Polsce i na Podolu. U nas należy do wielkich rzadkości faunistycznych. Wykazano go z Wielkopolski na podstawie wzmianki J.W. Szulczewskiego (1922) o znalezieniu tego gatunku w Poznaniu. Informacje o występowaniu na Śląsku Górnym i w Sudetach są oparte na danych sprzed przeszło stu lat, dlatego też wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Bionomia i cykl rozwojowy nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano najczęściej pod kamieniami oraz na leżącym drewnie na ziemi.
