Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Podgatunek europejsko-syberyjski. W południowo-zachodniej Europie zastępuje go inny podgatunek, Neottiura bimaculata pellucida (Simon, 1873). Żyje wśród ziół i trawy w lasach i na łąkach.
