Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w całej Europie, na wschód przez Syberię docierający aż do Japonii, w Fennoskandii sięgający do skrajnych prowincji północnych, a w środkowej Europie w górach do strefy alpejskiej. W Polsce występuje od Pobrzeża Bałtyku aż po Tatry. Znajdowany dość często, zwłaszcza na terenach lesistych na padlinie i grzybach naziemnych, w górach nawet w gniazdach świstaków.
