Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek pospolity, pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach. Motyle latają od IV do VI oraz w VII i VIII. Gąsienice żerują przede wszystkim na niskich osikach, topolach i wierzbach w VI i VII oraz od VIII do X. Szczegóły, tyczące wyglądu gąsienic omówione zostały przy opisie poprzedniego gatunku (Notodonta tritophus).
