Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony od zachodniej Europy aż do zachodniej Syberii, wykazany również z Grenlandii i zachodniej części północnej Afryki. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Spotykany na terenach nizinnych i górskich, pod butwiejącą słomą i sianem, w pryzmach kompostowych i napływkach, również w jaskiniach.
