Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w znacznej części Europy, lecz dokładne jego rozsiedlenie jest poznane niedostatecznie na skutek częstego mylenia go z O. erichsonii (Suffr.) W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, notowany z pięciu tylko krain. Łowiony zwykle na torfowiskach i na miejscach podmokłych. Rośliny żywicielskie, stadia przedimaginalne oraz cykl rozwojowy nie są znane. W okolicach Bydgoszczy (Krzemiński 1966) postacie dojrzałe poławiano w maju i czerwcu na śmiałku darniowym — Deschampsia caespitosa (L.) P. B., konwalii majowej — Convallaria maialis L. i kosmatce owłosionej — Luzula pilosa (L.) Wild.
